Information all international nurses need to know
Just as UK nurses have to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and Irish nurses with the Midwifery Board of Ireland, nurses looking to work in Australia must register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
To gain your registration as a nurse in Australia you are required to be Degree trained, those that are diploma trained may be able to gain registration if AHPRA deem so or may be asked to complete a Bridging Program in Australia.
Years of experience required to gain employment with ANA is a minimum of 12 months post qualifying.
