How does the Australian Bricklayer skills assessment work?

The Australian Bricklayer skills assessment has 2 mandatory stages that need to be completed and you need to be able to prove to the assessor that you have the necessary skills as a Bricklayer.

The first stage of the skills assessment is paper based, proving you are a Bricklayer through payslips, tax evidence, detailed CV, work references, qualifications.  

The second stage is a technical interview with an Australian qualified Bricklayer who is also an assessor and will ask you a range of questions about the skills and knowledge required to work as a Bricklayer in Australia. All assessments are held in English and no interpreter is allowed. This is conducted via a chat over Skype or Zoom. Once you have passed the required standards of the Technical Assessment you will receive your skills assessment outcome letter and Australian certificate III in Bricklaying. The Bricklayer Australian certificate is valuable for Bricklayers migrating to Australia.
