CHANGES TO WORKING HOLIDAY VISA IN 2017
Those applying for the 417 or 462 working holiday subclass visa, who earn an income that is less than $37,000 will be taxed 19%, and not the 32.5%.
Currently the age of eligibility for the working holiday visa is 20. From January 2017, the age limit has extended to 35. The working holiday visa is going to be available to even more people giving them an opportunity to travel in Australia.
Passenger movement charge will be increased to 5%, which will be used to fund certain initiatives in support for the tourism industry in Australia.
Additional surcharges, such as credit card surcharges, will be waived to improve the visitor experience.
