Qualifications/Requirements:

About you

This is an opportunity to become a key member of our environmental business within a well-established and highly respected consultancy. Our team has a significant workload and we’re looking for a Senior or Associate level Environmental Advisor to support the national team (location flexible but preferably Auckland or Tauranga/Hamilton). This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Beca’s extensive client base.

We are looking for an Environmental Advisor with 10+ years consulting experience, with sufficient contaminated land experience where you are considered a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Practitioner (SQEP). Ideally you have broader environmental advisory experience. This is an excellent opportunity with significant career development prospects. We are looking for a high performing professional with a real passion and motivation for success.

You will be responsible for leading contaminated land investigation projects, regionally as well as nationally. Work would primarily involve being client facing and contributing to business development, leading desk study assessments, site investigations, risk assessments and reporting as well as project management and supervising junior team members.

You’ll need a thorough understanding of consenting under the Resource Management Act and NES Soil, ideally from a consulting company. This position requires excellent technical skills in a broad range of environmental science related disciplines, but with a main focus on soil and water management, particularly contaminated land. You’ll need to be able to scope and manage environmental field work and data analysis and have experience and ability to manage contractors for contaminated site investigations.
