GOVERNMENT FUNDS DIPLOMA IN THE BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Date 21.04.2016 The Housing Industry Association (HIA), the voice of the residential building industry, are proud to annoyne that the Government will provide funding through their Skills Fund Special Release Program for 14 places in the Diploma of Building and Construction course delivered by the HIA.

Rick Sassin, Executive Director, stated that “Tasmania is currently experiencing immense residential growth. It is important to plan for future leaders who can continue to provide our economy with skills needed to achieve the very best outcomes expected by families employing builders to undertake their great Australian dream’.

“This announcement also gives the opportunity for those builders and project managers wishing to take the leap to the next level of licensing required when undertaking developments over 3 or more building levels.”

“We need to ensure that we train and maintain a buoyant and qualified workforce able to respond immediately to industry pressures and work force needs when the need arises” Mr Sassin added

The HIA acknowledges and thanks the Government for recognising the importance of the building industry for future Tasmanians” Mr Sassin concluded
