Tauranga is the largest city in the Bay of Plenty and one of the fastest growing population centres in the country. With a booming local economy the region is popular with families and holidaymakers. Over 200 people from 10 different engineering disciplines work out of our Tauranga office, which has a depth of knowledge and exciting office culture that enables our people to play a huge role in the day to day life of people in the Bay.
To be part of this exciting growth, we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Intermediate Civil Engineer to join us and work with key clients in the transport infrastructure sector. Project work typically encompasses medium to large projects in the region but you will also have the opportunity to work on other projects throughout New Zealand across the Pacific. With the strong focus that we have on our people, we are open to discussing different flexible work arrangements for this role.
Working with some of NZ’s best civil designers and engineers to deliver flagship projects, you will:-
- Undertake varied civil engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity under the guidance of senior staff
- Contribute to analysis of information, production of design, reports, tenders and proposals
- Demonstrate basic business skills to deliver projects to quality, budget and programme requirements.
- Develop relationships to provide quality services to internal and external clients
- Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, managers and clients are well informed of your project tasks.
- Consolidate and extend technical skills and show initiative in seeking learning opportunities
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
Coming out of a graduate development programme, you will have a Civil Engineering degree or similar and will be working towards professional accreditation. You will have gained experience in a consulting environment, working on infrastructure and multi-disciplinary projects and have design skills using AutoCAD, Civil 3d, Open Roads or 12d.
