JOBS DOWN UNDER CREATED BY THE METRO TUNNEL!

Date 26.07.2017

The Australian state of Victoria has publicised that almost 7,000 jobs will be created by the Metro Tunnel project.

The 7,000 jobs created by the main public transport project in Victorian history include recruitment of 500 apprentices, engineering cadets and trainees employed as part of the tunnels and stations package.

Initial works on the project are well underway, with key construction on the tunnel and stations likely to begin next year.

More than 88% of the resources used to build the new-fangled tunnels and underground stations will be sourced locally.

The factory will produce the thousands of formed concrete segments needed to line the project’s identical 9km tunnels.

The project will be completed by 2026!
