Senior Ecologist – Environmental Science

This is a key leadership opportunity within our environments business We are open to you being based out of Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga Be involved in projects of national significance across New Zealand

We’re seeing new opportunities and new challenges emerging across New Zealand. You will be aware of them too – new regulatory regimes; recent growth in land development; major infrastructure projects that support that development; new industries – all with a growing acknowledgement that we need to better understand and manage interactions with ecosystems.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Ecologist (Aquatic or Terrestrial) to be an integral part of growing Beca’s presence in the marketplace and lead our growing ecology team. We’re looking for a leader to shape the future direction of our team, take us to the market, and to expand and drive growth in our people and our market profile. We have an excellent existing client base to draw upon, and strong prospects that you can help us win and deliver


About you

We’re looking for a high performing professional with a real passion and motivation for success.

You’ll have excellent technical ecological skills coupled with best practice field work procedures and principles, and fluent in New Zealand regulatory requirements as they relate to ecology.

You will also have the skills to build and maintain relationships and the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders and the team. You are an experienced project leader energised by taking on challenging and interesting work and developing our junior member’s skillsets. We have a strong culture of support, and we will be working with you to realise your leadership aspirations.
