2. Technical Interview for Automotive Electrician skills assessment Australia $2,000

An assessor will review the information and evidence you have provided and begin to match your skills to the units/subjects in the qualification.

A Technical interview with the assessor will be arranged to discuss and identify your previous experience. You will be required to answer industry related questions to confirm and identify your current skills.

The Technical interviews will be held at the Down Under Centre’s London office, 48 Haven Green, Ealing W5 2NX.

Please note that if the assessor feels that you do not have the necessary skills to work in Australia as a qualified Automotive Electrician, they will ask you to provide further information or complete a practical assessment/ site visit which will be at your cost. The Australian Automotive Electrician skills assessment has 2 mandatory stages. You need to be able to prove to the assessor that you have the necessary skills as a Automotive Electrician.

The first stage of the skills assessment is paper based, proving you are a Automotive Electrician. This is proved through payslips, tax evidence, detailed CV, work references, qualifications.  

The second stage is a technical interview with an Australian qualified Automotive Electrician, who is also a qualified assessor. This is conducted via a chat over Skype or Zoom.

No, it’s not required. You are required to either hold your completed apprenticeship papers as an Automotive Electrician and 3 years of paid work experience pre or post qualification.
