Skilled Visas for Australia

To be eligible for Skilled Visas in Australia you must have an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List, have the right qualifications and work experience to get a positive skills assessment, and generate a minimum of 65 points.

The Down Under Centre can work with you from the start of your migration journey, to settling down in Australia. We can assist you at the Skills Assessment stage, working through to the Visa application process, and then the Employment and Relocation Departments help with your relocation and finding jobs in Australia. We are the one-stop centre. All DUC Clients get the DUC Employment Hub for free, and clients who are using us for the visa application, will be offered a free relocation call. What we do & What it costs

Agency Fee & Processing of Skills Assessment: £600 + VAT

We work with you to gather the required documents for your skills assessment; you’ll receive very detailed descriptions of everything we need from you. The relevant skill assessing fees are payable at time of skills submission. We’ll also liaise with the skill assessing authority on your behalf. Current Skill Assessment Fees.
- If you are a Trade occupation, there is a good chance we are the assessing body with Australian Trade Training College (ATTC) and we are TRA-approved to deliver assessments. We deliver the required skills assessments and use our venues for technical interviews and practical assessments. (Please note the DUC works with most occupations on the skilled occupation list, we just happen to be part of the skills assessment process for TRA).

Visa Fees: £1,500-£2,000 + VAT / $3,000-$4,000 + GST

Processing of Expression of Interest & State Nomination

Detailed explanation of additional information and documentation required for the Visa application.
Creation and submission of the Expression of Interest. Our fee includes submission of 3 EOIs.
- Each additional EOI is £100 + VAT / $200 + GST.
Assistance with, and submission of, 1 state nomination application as required; and liaising with the state on your behalf. State nomination fees due at time of submission.

Processing of Visa Application

Creation and submission of 1 Visa application. Government fees for Skilled Visas are due at time of visa submission.
- Additional state nominations, visa application preparation and submission (if invited for another state/visa and you wish to apply there too) £500 + VAT / $1,000 + GST.
Explanation of, and assistance with, the health and character aspects of your application. You would make payment direct to the relevant people.
Liaising with the Australian Government on your behalf.
Continuous support throughout the processing stage.
Get introduced to the DUC Relocation Department at the Visa Lodgement stage for a FREE Relocation call with a previous migrant who lives in the State/City you are moving to.
Get introduced to the DUC Employment Hub Department at the Visa Lodgement stage for FREE assistance in finding employment in Australia.

Where will I find the Skilled Occupation List for Australia?

The skilled occupation list can be found at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list

Each occupation has a 6 digit code (ANZSCO code) – this describes the job duties. Click on the number and it will bring up the job description. It’s the job duties, not the job title, that matters.

Once you have determined which occupation fits best, head to the DUC Points Calculator to see if you meet the criteria.

Whilst you cannot include your Parents in your visa application, they may be eligible to apply for a Parent Visa of their own.
