Engineering jobs in Australia – Muraca Engineering

Muraca Engineering is one of many employers on the DUC Employment Hub. Matt from Muraca Engineering tells us more about his company in Victoria and the engineering jobs they have in Australia.

You are the director of an engineering company in Victoria. How long have you run your own company?

Muraca engineering was established back in 2005.

You are currently looking to take on more people to join your team, so tell us what skilled occupations you are looking for?

Yes, I am looking for First class lead metal fabricators with CNC press brake experience and a hydraulic technician/fitter. We have engineering jobs in Australia. The Down Under Centre can assist with Australian Skills Assessments for nearly all occupations on the Skilled Occupation List.

You regularly look on the Employment Hub for people to join your team, what do you look for when looking at their profiles?

I’m looking for highly skilled guys in the above-mentioned fields, that are willing to give it their best. I need guys with extensive experience and the ability to represent and support my business at an efficient and professional capacity.

What have been some of your latest projects?

We are heavily involved in the agricultural industry we are currently working on some new and innovative equipment in vineyards, at the moment we are half way though our 3D drawings and soon hope to start making our proto types, as well as this we are quite busy with general fabrications, machining and fabrication works as usual.

What gets you most excited about the company’s future?

I have been in the agricultural space my whole life as I grew up on a table grape property. I have seen the progression of the industries and demand for improved practices and efficiencies, which has allowed us to do lots of high-quality custom works and allowed me to invest in lots of new equipment to be able to carry out the work.

You have two beautiful boys that keep you busy, what hours do your employees work?

Matt Muraca

Typical hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

What do you love most about living in Victoria and what is there to do where you live?

I have grown up here and I love it. Robinvale is a country town, and we are on the Victoria/New South Wales border. If you like quiet living and love the outdoors, this is the place to be. There is so much to do like camping, fishing, swimming, golf, sporting groups (i.e. football, soccer).
